What I Expect for #CES2015

I’ve been doing quite a bit of reading in preparation for #CES2015—and there’s a lot of it out there.

It seems as if every publication has some kind of CES preview, and while some are more creative than others, they all generally predict the same trends and expectations.

In a more personal sense, I have many goals, some more serious than others, but all equally necessary. After I watched YouTuber MKBHD’s most recent video about being at CES yesterday, I immediately tweeted at him, asking for the chance to take a selfie with him (he responded!). Selfies with respectable people are a thing. I’m doing it.

Meeting people at CES is inevitable, and I intend to try my best to meet, shake hands, and/or take selfies with as many people as possible.

In addition to this form of networking, I’m expecting to attend as many events as possible. I’ve added every event that I found interesting into a Google Doc for my reference, and although it realistically won’t be possible to cover all of them, if I can manage to run from one event to another (if only everything could be within walking distance), I’m definitely going to try.

Of course, as my parents would say, enjoy it. Despite packing my schedule with as much as possible (might as well take advantage of this opportunity), I will try to not stress myself out too much. Hence selfies.

It will be a crazy ride. I’ll be taking a red eye straight from Vegas to the Bahamas to vacation with some friends before our final semester of college begins. A nice way to destress, I hope.

Thanks for reading. If you haven’t checked out my first post of 2015, what are you waiting for? It’s quite long—maybe that’s why I’m not getting as many views (or even Facebook likes 😦 ) as expected. Feedback welcome!
