My body has done it again. Despite going to bed quite late, I ended up waking up at 7 a.m.—no alarm.
I ended up convincing my forever-busy roommate to accompany me to the annual MIT China Entrepreneurship Forum at the MIT Stata Center for the morning, where we heard the CEO of Renren (the Facebook of China) speak. Unfortunately, his keynote followed MIT professor Donald Sadoway’s, which was one of the best speeches I have ever heard. He made something as complicated as liquid metal batteries seem so interesting, all while somehow making the audience laugh and engaged throughout his speech. His keynote alone made attending worth it.
Since I had my second birthday dinner of the weekend to attend to later and still had to get her dozen cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake on Newbury Street, my friend and I left around noon and had the most delicious lunch at Legal Seafood down the street.
Despite arriving around 5 p.m., we ended up waiting for more than an hour for a table for 9 people.
Still, I had a great time. Allow me to end with an amusingly frustrating photo of the yummy mojito I had—taken, of course, with my LOVELY Samsung camera.
