One of my favorite things to do while at home is going to a café with my laptop or a book.
I spent part of my afternoon finishing my Best of Shanghai post at a two-week-old local café, one that claims to be the only one in the area to serve liege waffles. You can order sandwiches wrapped in sandwiches in waffles or crêpes. Since I never had a waffle sandwich before, I chose that with mozzarella and pesto and really liked it. The Nutella latte wasn’t bad, either 🙂
The only downside was that there didn’t seem to be any WiFi, and I didn’t bother asking whether one of the locked networks was theirs, so I just used my iPhone via hotspot.
Side note: I’m still taking naps every day and waking up several times in the middle of the night. Never have I had such bad jet lag…
